The AL580 Power Chair Lift by Harmar is one unit that truly makes life simpler. This American-made power wheelchair lift sits outside your vehicle and features a padded arm that secures your mobility aid while you are transporting it.  There is also a backup manual crank and license plate mount.

Another great benefit of the AL58 is that your power wheelchair does not require any modifications before placing it onto the lift.  It also folds up automatically when not in use.   This lift does not have any straps or tie-downs because they are not required to secure your power chair into the lift.  This vehicle lift is designed to be used with Mid-Wheel Drive Power Chairs that have 10" drive wheels and is compatible with vehicles that have a Class II or Class III Hitch.

This Harmar lift has a low profile when it is on the back your vehicle, so it does not take up much room nor will it interfere with your rear view. This makes transportation of your power chair comfortable, safe, and easy.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW WHEN ORDERING:

If you choose to have professional installation you must choose the battery pack option. Even if you do not choose have the lift to be professionally installed, we do recommend selecting the battery pack option.  The hardwire kit allows you to wire the power source from the car's battery to the lift, but it can be difficult to install if you are not mechanically inclined. The battery pack allows you to install the lift with an external battery system, but it does require frequent recharging. 

Please be aware many states require you to display your license plate on the outside of your lift. It may be required in the following states: CA, AZ, NV, CO, UT, ND, SD, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, HI, AK, FL, TX, & AL. It might be required in other states as well and it’s your responsibility to understand your state’s regulations.

Warranty Information for the AL580 Next Generation Power Chair Lift

HARMAR VEHICLE LIFT WARRANTY

Harmar Mobility warrants its lift products against defects in material, mechanical and electrical components (parts), excluding labor cost, batteries, paint and covers, for a period of three (3) years from date of retail purchase, provided that the products have been installed, maintained and operated properly. This warranty does not cover defects in vehicles on which Harmar products are installed or defects in Harmar products caused by defects in any part of the vehicle upon which the product is installed. This warranty does not cover maintenance or adjustments. Harmar will not be charged for labor, consequential damage or repair expenses. Harmar will not, under any circumstances, be liable for the loss of the use of its products or loss of time. This warranty becomes null and void if the product has been lost, damaged by accident, over-stressed, misused and/ or neglected, or if the product has been modified in any way. Defective parts must be returned, prepaid, to Harmar at the address listed above, for inspection prior to credit, repair or replacement, at Harmar’s option. Harmar’s sole obligation and the exclusive remedy under this warranty is limited to such credit, repair or replacement.

This Express Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties or conditions, including all implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and there are no warranties that extend beyond the description of the limited warranty described herein. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state.
