Amigo is a brand that you are probably familiar with.  They are one of the oldest and most reputable brands in the industry and are often the manufacturer of the scooters you would typically find in big box stores and grocery store chains.  The Shabbat Scooter by Amigo is offered on 3 of their models: the RT, RD, and HD models.  The primary difference between the 3 is the weight capacity of which they can hold.

This is the only "Kosher" certified mobility unit on the market!  Each unit is halachically-approved by the Zomet Institute for riders who want to honor the Sabbath.  The halachic principles involved are gramma (indirect operation) and “continuous change of current.”  There is a a toggle switch that changes the operation from normal to Shabbat mode.

Once the scooter is placed in Shabbat mode, it does not have a throttle lever activation that is used by the rider and the module’s timing circuit sets the chair into idle motion after approximately 10 seconds.  This satisfies the “no work” Sabbath restriction.  We suggest that you use your scooter regularly or at least turn it on and run it to help increase the likelihood of prolonging your battery life span. Please review your owner's manual for more details.

Order Confirmation:

Once your order is
placed you will receive a confirmation email with your order details.
The confirmation email also means our system has processed your order
and has pre-authorized your credit card. We will then submit your order
to the transit team and/or warehouse manager to confirm that the product
is ready for immediate packaging and shipping. If the product is out of
stock or on backorder, we will reach out to you via telephone and/or
e-mail.  

Shipment process:

  • Shipping times vary between 1-3 business days on most orders and
    your item will be delivered in 3-10 business days after the order has
    been shipped.
  • You will receive a shipping email with the tracking number(s) after
    the manufacturer initiates the shipping process with the carrier. If you
    do not receive the tracking information from our team within 8 days of
    placing your order, reach out to us at info@electricwheelchairsusa.com.

Damages:

Immediately upon delivery, carefully inspect the packaging of your
item(s). If there is noticeable damage to the packaging make note of it
when signing for delivery, or refuse delivery and it will be sent back
to the manufacturer. If there is no or minimal damage to the packaging;
but you discover damage to the item once you unpackage it, contact us
immediately (within 48 hours) and send photos of the damage to info@electricwheelchairsusa.com. We will contact the manufacturer on your behalf to process any applicable claims.
