1. Shoprider Sprinter XL4 Heavy Duty 4-Wheel Mobility Scooter 889NR

The Sprinter XL4 by Shoprider is a heavy-duty scooter. Like all Shoprider models it is built sturdily with durable materials. It weighs 181 pounds and is 52 inches long and 23 inches wide.

It runs on four 12-inch wheels which gives the Sprinter XL4 a ground clearance of 3 inches and maximum climbing angle of 8 inches, allowing stability and operability on various terrains and inclines. The unit has a maximum speed of 5 mph and an impressive drive range of 25 miles per charge. The Sprinter XL4 has a turning radius of 54 inches and a weight capacity of 350 pounds.

It comes with a comfortable and stylish captain’s seat. The captain’s seat can be adjusted upward, forward, and backward and it swivels. It also has an adjustable tiller to move the steering mechanism nearer or further away from the user and the armrests adjust to increase comfort while driving, as well as making it easier to enter and exit.

The front is fitted with a single head light to add visibility while driving. In addition, it comes standard with a full lighting package which includes turn indicators and hazard lights. There is an option to add a rear light.

The Sprinter XL4 is fitted with two 12V33-40AH batteries. It has an offboard 5A charger to charge the battery in case of reduced power.

2. Shoprider Enduro XL3+ Heavy Duty 3-Wheel Scooter - 778XLSBN

The Enduro XL3 is a heavy duty 3-wheel scooter. The device weighs 222 pounds and is 28 inches wide and 56 inches long.

Like the XL4, the Enduro XL3 comes with large 12-inch tires, has a climbing angle of up to 8 degrees, a maximum speed of 5 mph and driving range of 25 miles.  However, what sets the Enduro XL3 apart is that it has a slightly better ground clearance at 3 inches, a full suspension, and a 500-pound weight capacity.

Also, when it comes to features the Enduro XL3 steps it up a bit with a reclining captain’s chair and a delta style tiller which has controls for the wig wag.  The wig wag serves a dual purpose, allowing the user to push forward or pull backwards on the drive lever, depending on how adept the user is with their hands.

This unit operates on a 50Ah or 75Ah battery that weighs 50 pounds. The battery can be charged through an 8 amp off board charger.

It also comes in burgundy and there are accessories that can be added at an additional cost.

3. Shoprider Enduro XL4+ Bariatric 4-Wheel Scooter - 889XLSBN

Similar to the XL3, the Enduro XLR+ by Shoprider is a well-built heavy-duty scooter. The main differences between the XL3 and the XLR+ are that the XLR+:

  1. has four-wheels, and
  2. weighs 240 pounds, 18 pounds more than the XL3. If you like the specifications of the XL3 but feel more stable on a four-wheels, the XLR+ may be the scooter for you.

    4. Shoprider Sunrunner 4 Mobility Scooter - 888B-4

    The Shoprider Sunrunner 4 is a mid-sized four-wheel scooter that is slightly on the heavier side, weighing 180 pounds including the batteries. It is 48 inches long and 23 inches wide.

    Like most Shoprider scooters the Sunrunner 4 has a travel range of up to 25 miles on a single charge, can reach a maximum speed of 5 mph with a maximum climbing angle of up to 8 degrees.  It has 10-inch tires, which provides a 3-inch ground clearance, and a turning radius of 50 inches, allowing you to easily maneuver around tight corners. The weight capacity is 300 pounds.

    This scooter is equipped with the following standard features: comfortable deluxe captain’s seat that swivels and adjusts forward and backward, adjustable tiller, and front head light.  There is an optional full light package, which includes turn indicators, hazard and rear lights.

    The Sunrunner 4 runs on two 12V35AH batteries and has an off board 5-amp charger for ease and convenience when charging. The batteries weigh 24 pounds each.

    5. Shoprider Sunrunner 3 Mobility 3-Wheel Scooter - 888B-3

    The Shoprider Sunrunner 3 has the same specifications of the Sunrunner 4. The major differences are that the Sunrunner 3 is:  

    1. slightly smaller and lighter at 44 inches long and 165 pounds,
    2. the front tire is an inch smaller at 9-inches and has a better turning radius of 37-inches, and

      6. Shoprider Scootie 4-Wheel Mobility Scooter TE-787NA

      This scooter by Shoprider is light weight, has articulating front wheels, and is easy to transport. The Scootie weighs 82 pounds, inclusive of the batteries and when disassembled, the heaviest part weighs 25 pounds. Despite its lightweight design, the Shoprider Scootie has a weight capacity of 250 pounds.

      This four-wheel scooter comes with two 7-inch front wheels and two slightly larger 8-inch rear wheels. The wheels are patented and serve a dual function; four-wheel stability with three-wheel maneuverability. With a turning radius of 32 inches this device is small and maneuverable enough for tight spots and narrow walkways. This unit also has a 1.5-inch ground clearance. Enough clearance for the user to safely ride the scooter on uneven terrains.

      One of the most unique features about the Scootie is its length adjustability, which allows it to go from 37-inches long to 40-inches.       The other lightweight scooter from Shoprider is the Echo, which is the most affordable scooter in the Shoprider family. It is 21-inches wide and 57-inches long and weighs 70 pounds with the heaviest piece weighing 35 pounds when the unit is disassembled. This scooter can quickly be disassembled into three pieces, making it easy to store and carry around. Additionally, the weight capacity is 250 pounds and has a driving range of up to 8 miles, and can reach a maximum speed of 3.8 mph.

      The seat on the Echo Lightweight is height adjustable and comes with a basket to easily store personal belongings.

      The Shoprider Echo comes standard with a removable battery pack and it has an off-board battery charger of 2A for easier charging when it is flat.

      8. Shoprider Dasher 4 Portable Mobility Scooter - GK8

      The Dasher 4 is one of the most practical and beginner friendly scooters from Shoprider. The total unit weighs 94 pounds and is equipped with a quick-disconnect system to easily disassemble the unit into 3 parts, with the heaviest part weighing 33 pounds. The weight capacity is 250 pounds and it can reach a maximum speed of 3.8 mph, and travel up to 7.5 miles on a single charge. It also has a turning radius of 37-inches, a ground clearance of 1.5 inch, and a climbing angle of 6 degrees.

      The Echo Folding scooter is the lightest scooter in the Shoprider family and is designed for the user who is constantly on the move. It weighs a mere 59 pounds, including the battery and can be folded and unfolded in a matter of seconds for easy storage and transportation. It is 17.5 inches wide and 39.5 inches long.

      The weight capacity on Echo Folding scooter is 200 pounds; it has a maximum speed of 3.75 mph and a driving range of up to 9 miles.
