Sylacauga Handicapped, Inc.

Founded by French Floyd more than 25 years ago, Sylacauga Handicapped, Inc. is one of Alabama's first dealers of adaptive equipment. Mr. Floyd himself was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy in the 60s, and he had to purchase all his equipment from Florida because there weren't any options in Alabama at the time. In 1981, Mr. Floyd started Sylacauga Handicapped, Inc. with the goal of providing mobility solutions to handicapped individuals in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle. Because Mr. Floyd had the same needs as many of his customers, he had a unique insight into which products worked and which didn't. As a result, Sylacauga Handicapped Inc. only carried the most efficient products. He also brought in some of his family members and trained them on how to best address the needs of people with handicaps. Even now that the company is in the hands of Mr. Floyd's son and the rest of the Sylacauga Handicapped, Inc. team, Mr. Floyd's legacy lives on. The company continues to work closely with many insurance companies, as well as the Veterans Administration. Whatever your mobility needs are, you can rely on Sylacauga Handicapped, Inc. to go above and beyond to provide you with the best solutions possible.
