Merits S141 Pioneer 4 Wheel Scooter Review

The Merits Health S141 Pioneer is a full-size 4-wheel mobility scooter. It has a sleek minimalist design, with an updated tiller is considered to be one of the best in its class. Its total weight inclusive of batteries is 189 pounds.

It is equipped with a 24V 250W motor and runs off two 12V U1 34Ah batteries. With a powerful motor like that, it is able to tackle hilly areas and slopes up to an incline of 8 degrees. The wheels on both the front and the rear are 10-inch pneumatic tires.

This mobility scooter is equipped with a comfortable 20x20-inch padded high back captain’s seat. The chair swivels 360 degrees and the armrests are height and angle adjustable. It has a control panel with a speed dial, a horn, and a battery indicator. It also has headlights, taillights, turn signals, and rearview mirrors.

This mobility scooter has a weight capacity of 400 pounds, a top speed of 5 mph, a maximum operating range of 18 miles, a turning radius if 52 inches and ground clearance of 4 inches.

The Merits Health S131 Pioneer is very similar to the S141, but here are the most notable differences. The S131 is a three-wheel which gives it better maneuverability, and a much better turning radius than the S141 of 39 inches.
