5 Mobility Scooters With The Widest Seats

Not many people shop for a mobility scooter with the widest seat as the main feature, but they should because proper seat width and depth are important to ensure a comfortable and safe ride.

If seats are too deep, they might rub behind the knees, and if they are too short, proper support is compromised. If a seat is too wide, there might not be adequate stability especially when maneuvering around corners, and if it is not wide enough you may experience pressure on the sides of the legs.

In this article we look at mobility scooters with extra wide seats. We have identified 5 models from brands such as Pride Mobility, Drive Medical and Merits Health with seats that are about 22 inches in width and with a high weight capacity of 450 pounds and above. By comparison, the average seat width is 18 inches.
